This is wonderful in black and white....brings out the drama of all the different and incredible building shapes, and the contrast between the old and the new. Why is it called the Hobart building?

Yes, they're good additions to the comments....incredible that such a tall building was constructed at that time and has lasted so long....it's a monument to humanity's ability to create beauty from the ashes.
